Our team is trained to consider every aspect of a request to ensure quality in all the services we provide. We assign the closest, most qualified interpreter to each request. In medical and community settings, interpreters with certification issued by the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI) or the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) are given preference, if certification is offered in the language requested. Professional interpreters who are not currently certified have been trained to adhere to the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care’s Code of Ethics.
In legal settings, interpreters with certification issued by the Consortium for Language Access in the Courts are preferred. We always provide a certified court interpreter for Spanish language requests in legal settings.
All American Sign Language interpreters are nationally certified and licensed to practice in their respective service areas.
Quality in translation is our highest priority, and we understand that quality is expected by our clients. We incorporate the ASTM International F-2575 Standard Guide for Quality Assurance in Translation into our daily procedures and have developed our own quality assurance procedure for translation projects. Quality assurance reviews are implemented at various steps in the translation process. By incorporating international standards of quality into every project, we can assure all clients that the translation will clearly and accurately convey the information contained in the source document.
We understand the importance of your privacy. All services we provide are confidential. Many of our clients must be in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and we have invested in procedures to maintain confidentiality. All staff members understand and abide by state and federal privacy and confidentiality laws. All communication during an interpreting session is confidential and will not be further used or disclosed, except as required to carry out any interpretation assignment or as otherwise required by law. All of our interpreters and translators sign confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements before working with us.
