Equal Footing for Staff Interpreters is a one-day training seminar that was developed to give SWITS staff interpreters an additional professional development opportunity. While the 60-hour Equal Footing for Medical and Community Interpreters course offers a strong foundation in the skills needed for medical and community interpreting, these Boot Camp seminars aim to dig deeper into specific topics related to medical, community, and legal settings. Industry experts offer presentations related to their field to give interpreters a new perspective on procedures, ethics, and terminology across a variety of interpreting situations.
